Nippon Shokubai’s Himeji plant remains offline; no restart date announced

Nippon Shokubai says that operations at all the production facilities at its manufacturing complex at Himeji, Japan, remain suspended following the explosion and fire at the site on 29 September. The accident resulted in the death of one firefighter, as well as several serious injuries. Currently, there are no plans to restart operations at the complex, the company says.
