Nippon Shokubai Hikes Acrylic Acid Capacity, Builds Special Esters Plant in Japan

Nippon Shokubai (Osaka) says it will build a new acrylic acid plant at its Himeji, Japan site to meet growing global demand. The company will build an 80,000-m.t./year acrylic acid unit, which will be mechanically completed in May 2013 and commercially ready in August that year. The project will raise Nippon Shokubai's acrylic acid capacity at Himeji to 540,000 m.t./year and its global total to 780,000 m.t./year.
