New Case of Melamine-Contaminated Milk Formula Emerges in China

Chinese police have seized 227 m.t. of melamine-contaminated milk formula, according to information disseminated by RX-360 (Washington), a supply-chain organization. Police reportedly have made six arrests, and detained a further 41 individuals. The melamine, although toxic when consumed, makes it appear in tests that the milk contains high levels of protein.
