Mosaic CEO takes medical leave, interim CEO and new CFO named

Mosaic announced today that its president and CEO James Prokopanko is taking a medical leave of absence for surgery to treat his previously disclosed cancer. The company announced in March that Prokopanko was diagnosed and undergoing chemotherapy, but would continue working. The board has named CFO Lawrence Stranghoener interim CEO during Prokopanko’s absence, effective 1 June. Stranghoener has served has Mosaic’s executive v.p. and CFO since 2004.
