World News and Views :: Top of the News Monsanto Links with Evogene for Nitrogen Utilization Genes1:26 PM MDT | September 25, 2007 | CW Editorial Staff Monsanto says it has entered into an agreement with Evogene (Rehovot, Israel), under which Monsanto gains exclusive rights to several nitrogen utilization genes discovered by Evogene. Monsanto says it will evaluate the use of these genes with nitrogen utilization genes in its R&D pipeline for corn, soybeans, canola, and cotton. Financial terms were not disclosed.
