World News and Views :: Top of the News Monsanto Boosts 2008 Forecast7:31 AM MDT | March 26, 2008 Monsanto says it has raised its fiscal second-quarter and full-year 2008 outlook, reflecting the company's leading corn market share positions, accelerated penetration of trait technologies, and strength of Roundup and other glyphosate-based herbicides. Monsanto raised second-quarter guidance to $1.75/share, well ahead of the First Call mean of $1.34/share. The company has also raised its full-year 2008 outlook from $2.70-$2.80/share, to $3.15-$3.25/share, compared to the First Call mean of $2.88/share.
