Mitsui and Sinopec to Form Joint Venture for EPT Project in China

Mitsui Chemicals says it will establish a 50-50 joint venture with Sinopec, tentatively dubbed Shanghai Sinopec Mitsui Elastomers, for a ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer (EPT) plant to be located at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in Shanghai, China. The two companies had signed a letter of intent in December 2009 to conduct a study for the EPT jv project.
