Mitsui and Sinopec Sign JV Agreement for EPT Project in China

Mitsui Chemicals says it has signed a joint venture agreement with Sinopec for the previously announced jv for the production of ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer (EPT) at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in Shanghai, China. The companies had first announced plans for the project in October 2010. Preparations to submit the necessary applications to authorities for permission are underway, Mitsui says.
