World News and Views :: Top of the News Mitsui and Sinopec Establish EPT Joint Venture in China12:05 AM MDT | May 29, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Mitsui Chemicals and Sinopec say they have formed a 50-50 joint venture company called Shanghai Sinopec Mitsui Elastomers at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in China, for their previously announced project to manufacture ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer (EPT). The companies had signed a letter of intent in December 2009 for the project, and a jv agreement was signed in December 2011. Shanghai Sinopec Mitsui Elastomers, which was established on May 28, 2012, will manufacture and distribute EPT, and will have a production capacity of 75,000 m.t./year of EPT...
