Mitsui Upgrades Earnings Forecast

Mitsui Chemicals has upgraded its earnings forecast for the fiscal first half ended September 30, 2010. Mitsui expects to record net profits of ¥17.1 billion ($209 million), having previously forecast net profits of ¥14 billion. The company however expects to record first-half sales of ¥672.8 billion, having earlier predicted sales of ¥673 billion.
