World News and Views :: Top of the News Mitsui Chemicals to increase PP compounds production in US7:55 AM MST | January 17, 2013 | Deepti Ramesh Mitsui Chemicals and its Prime Polymer (Tokyo) affiliate say that their Advanced Composites (Sidney, OH) subsidiary plans to further increase production capacity for polypropylene (PP) compounds by 14,000 m.t./year, to meet growing demand from the automotive sector. Mitsui Chemicals America (Rye Brook, NY) holds 59.8% stake in Advanced Composites, Prime Polymer holds 3%, Mitsui & Co. holds 27%, and Marubeni America (New York) holds 10.2%.
