Mitsui Chemicals opens plant to produce spunbonded nonwoven fabrics at Tianjin

Mitsui Chemicals, on 23 July, officially opened its previously announced plant at Tianjin, China, to produce spunbonded nonwoven fabrics. Plans for the new plant were announced in 2011, and a new subsidiary was established for the project. The new plant produces 15,000 m.t./year of spunbonded fabrics. Spunbonded nonwoven fabric is a long-fiber nonwoven that has excellent texture, strength, and dimensional stability. It is widely used in disposable diapers; sanitary products; and architectural, civil engineering, and agricultural materials, Mitsui says...
