Mitsubishi and Sinopec Complete BPA Joint Venture in China

Sinopec says that construction of the previously announced 150,000-m.t./year bisphenol A (BPA) joint venture plant with Mitsubishi Chemical at Beijing has been completed. The plant is located in the production site of Sinopec Yanshan Co. subsidiary of Sinopec, and Sinopec Yanshan will supply raw materials for the BPA plant. The Mitsubishi-Sinopec jv is also building a 60,000-m.t./year polycarbonate plant at the site, which is expected to be completed next month.
