Mitsubishi Plastics builds second Diamiron film line in Japan

Mitsubishi Plastics is investing 1.4 billion Japanese yen ($13.6 million) in a new production line at its Azai plant at Nagahama, Japan for Diamiron co-extruded, multi-layered nylon 6 film, used in  food packaging and in a wide range of other fields. Production is expected to start in October 2014. The company says that Diamiron is one of its growth businesses.    The product is a high-performance film that can be customized and offers gas-barrier performance, easy-peel properties, and high heat-resistance.
