Merck KGaA Buys Biotest's Microbiology Business

Merck KGaA has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Biotest's (Dreieich, Germany) worldwide microbiological monitoring activities. The business comprises heipha Dr. Müller GmbH (Eppelheim, Germany), as well as the Hycon business based at Dreieich, the subsidiaries in France, Japan and the U.S., as well as further activities and empolyees in several European countries.
