MGC and JGC–licensed DME plant starts operation in Germany

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) and JGC (Yokohama, Japan) say that performance testing was completed and that commercial operation began on 11 October at a licensed dimethyl ether (DME) plant commissioned by chemical manufacturer Grillo-Werke (Duisburg, Germany), using a process owned jointly by MGC and JGC. The plant is located in an industrial park at Frankfurt and has a production capacity of 20,000 m.t./year of DME.
