LyondellBasell Updates August Results

LyondellBasell says the performance of its chemicals business improved in August, with its olefins polymers segments performing strongly, the company said in a conference call for investors this week. Overall adjusted earnings fell in August by $24 million, to $254 million. However, the first two months of the third-quarter were the company’s strongest of the year.
