LyondellBasell Reports Loss

LyondellBasell reported a second-quarter loss from continuing operations of $16 million compared to income from continuing operations $159 million in the year-ago quarter. Results were impacted by higher interest and depreciation and amortization expense as well as surging feedstock costs. Second-quarter revenues totaled $15.6 billion, compared to $4.1 billion in the year-ago quarter.
