World News and Views :: Top of the News Lonza to Invest $45 Million to Expand Vitamin B3 Capacity in China11:44 PM MDT | May 10, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Lonza says it will invest about SF50 million ($45 million) to build a new nicotinates (vitamin B3) manufacturing plant at the company’s existing production site at Nansha, China. The new facility will provide an additional 15,000 m.t./year of vitamin B3 capacity, an increase of more than 40% over current capacity. The investment will be made over the next three years, and the capacity will be added in phases with the first phase expected to come onstream in 2011, followed by full operation in 2012.
