World News and Views :: Top of the News Linde Upgrades U.S. HCL Business12:13 PM MST | January 15, 2008 | CW Editorial Staff Linde says it will upgrade its anhydrous hydrogen chloride (HCL) plants at Phoenix and Lovington, NM in order to “improve quality and supply reliability.” The plan includes a 35% capacity expansion at Phoenix, due for completion later this month. Linde has also entered into an agreement to purchase high-purity anhydrous HCL from a new manufacturer at Baytown, TX, which will be shipped via rail to Linde’s Lovington plant for further purification.
