Linde Upgrades U.S. HCL Business

Linde says it will upgrade its anhydrous hydrogen chloride (HCL) plants at Phoenix and Lovington, NM in order to “improve quality and supply reliability.” The plan includes a 35% capacity expansion at Phoenix, due for completion later this month. Linde has also entered into an agreement to purchase high-purity anhydrous HCL from a new manufacturer at Baytown, TX, which will be shipped via rail to Linde’s Lovington plant for further purification.
