World News and Views :: Top of the News Linde Awarded Mega Cracker Contract by Borouge8:52 AM MDT | July 2, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Borouge, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and Borealis, says it has awarded a $1.075 billion lump sum turnkey contract to Linde for its previously announced 1.5 million m.t./year ethylene plant at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. The ethane cracker will form the core unit of Borouge 3, which is due onstream at the end of 2013 and increase Borouge's total polyolefins capacity to 4.5 million m.t.year, says Abdulaziz Alhajri, CEO of Borouge.
