Lautenberg Seeks to Revive Senate Action on TSCA Reform

Senator Frank Lautenberg (D., NJ) joined with health advocacy groups this week in an effort to persuade fellow senators to pass Lautenberg’s Safe Chemicals Act, which would overhaul the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Lautenberg’s event follows a four-part series in the Chicago Tribune which profiled tactics the report says that industry employed to justify the use of flame retardants.
