Lanxess starts construction of iron oxide pigments plant in China

The construction of the foundation for the iron oxide red pigments facility and administrative buildings at Ningbo has begun.. Lanxess says it has begun construction of the previously announced new iron oxide red pigments facility at Ningbo, China. Lanxess is investing €55 million ($71 million) in the plant, which will have an initial production capacity of 25,000 m.t./year. Production is expected to start in the first quarter of 2015, and the plant will create 150 new jobs, Lanxess says. “We see an increasing demand for high quality pigments in China...
