Lanxess Invests €235 Million to Build World’s Largest EPDM Plant in China

Lanxess says it is investing €235 million ($294 million) to build the world's largest plant for ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) synthetic rubber at Changzhou, China. Construction of the plant began today. This is the largest investment Lanxess has made in China to date. The plant will have a production capacity of 160,000 m.t./year and the investment will create up to 200 new jobs. The plant is expected to become operational in 2015.
