World News and Views :: Top of the News Lanxess Cuts Jobs in Sarnia; Transfers NBR Production to France;2:20 AM MST | February 11, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz Lanxess says it will shut down its nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) production facility at Sarnia, ON and transfer that operation to its NBR manufacturing complex at La Wantzenau, France. The move forms part of the company's streamlining of the Candadian site that also includes the streamlining of services connected with butyl rubber manufacture. Lanxess says some 270 positions will be lost in the process, 36% of the site's workforce.
