World News and Views :: Top of the News Lanxess Breaks Ground on Plastics Facilities in India10:17 PM MST | January 13, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Lanxess says it has broken ground on the previously announced new compounding facilities with an initial capacity of 20,000 m.t./year for the production of the company’s Durethan and Pocan engineering plastics at the company’s site at Jhagadia, India. The facilities, which involve an investment of €10 million ($13 million), will begin production at the start of 2012. Lanxess says it is also considering further investments by other businesses of the company at Jhagadia. India is on course to become the third largest consumer market for high-tech...
