Kuraray to Expand EVOH Resin Capacity in U.S.

Kuraray says its Kuraray America (Houston, TX) subsidiary will invest ¥4 billion ($51 million) to expand production capacity for ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) resin, sold under the brand name Eval, at its facility at Pasadena, TX.  Capacity will be increased by 12,000 m.t./year to meet rising demand, and the expanded facilities will become operational in January 2014.
