World News and Views :: Top of the News Kuraray to Expand EVOH Resin Capacity in U.S.12:14 AM MDT | November 1, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Kuraray says its Kuraray America (Houston, TX) subsidiary will invest ¥4 billion ($51 million) to expand production capacity for ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) resin, sold under the brand name Eval, at its facility at Pasadena, TX. Capacity will be increased by 12,000 m.t./year to meet rising demand, and the expanded facilities will become operational in January 2014. The Pasadena plant currently has a production capacity of 35,000 m.t./year, and it will increase to 47,000 m.t./year, following the completion of the expansion. Kuraray also has 24,000...
