Kemira buys producer of polyacrylamide polymers 3F Chimica

Kemira has signed an agreement to acquire privately owned 3F Chimica SpA (3F; Sandrigo, Italy), excluding certain assets in the United States, for €85 million ($110.8 million), Kemira announced today. The acquisition is subject to fulfillment of certain conditions and closing of the transaction is expected in the fourth quarter of 2013. 3F produces dry and emulsion polyacrylamide polymers and related process chemicals.
