KBR awarded contract to revamp two ammonia plants in Algeria

KBR has been awarded a contract by Société des Fertilisants d’Algérie (Fertial; Annaba, Algeria) to conduct a study that will improve safety, reliability, and energy efficiency of two Algerian ammonia plants. The study will also result in the overall ammonia production capacity increasing by 50%. The revamp is expected to be introduced in a phase-by-phase approach for the 1970s vintage plants.
