K2010: Evonik Commits to Polymers with €1.6-Billion Investment

Evonik Industries says it will invest €1.6 billion over five years to grow its performance polymers and plastics additives business by an average of 5%/year, to reach €2.7 billion in 2015. Evonik´s sales of performance and plastic additives reached €2 billion last year, of which additives accounted for 40% and performance polymers 60%. The company outlined the plans today at the K2010 plastics exhibition in Dusseldorf. Evonik Degussa board member Partik Wohlhauser says the company is focusing on three major megatrends to grow its business...
