K 2013: Ascend starts up nylon-6,6 compounding facility at Pensacola

Ascend Performance Materials (Houston) announced today at the K 2013 plastics trade show, taking place in Düsseldorf, the start-up of a new compounding line at Pensacola, FL. Ascend produces nylon-6,6 resin there and at Greenwood, SC. Ascend has more than doubled its resin capacity since 2005, primarily at Pensacola, making the company one of the largest producers of nylon-6,6 resin, the company says.
