World News and Views :: Top of the News K+S posts increased sales, lower operating profits11:06 AM MST | November 13, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas K+S Group (Kassel, Germany) says sales in the third quarter of 2012 increased 7.4%, to €916.6 million ($1.16 billion), compared with €853.5 million in the prior-year period. The increase in sales is attributed to increased sales volumes in the potash and magnesium products business segment, and to favorable currency rates in the potash and magnesium products and salt business segments, the company says.
