Jury Rules Against Dow, PPG in Perc Suit

A San Francisco jury has ruled that two chemical companies are liable for some of the cost of remediating groundwater in Modesto, CA contaminated with the dry cleaning solvent perchloroethylene (perc). The lawsuit against defendants Dow Chemical and PPG charged that chemical companies should bear some of the financial burden for contamination by dry cleaners that used the chemical.
