World News and Views :: Top of the News Iran Gives Omani Partner Deadline to Proceed with Ammonia-Urea Project10:15 AM MST | March 11, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz Iran's National Petrochemical Co. (NPC; Tehran) has given a two-months deadline to Oman Oil Co. (OOC) to fulfill its obligations for a proposed ammonia-urea joint venture complex in Iran. NPC's project manager Ahmad Heidarnia says that NPC is ready to replace OOC with a domestic or another foreign partner. Iran and OOC signed a memorandum of understanding in August 2009 to build Hormouz ammonia/urea joint venture complex at Assaluyeh, Iran.
