Invista commissions specialty Lycra plant at Shanghai, advances with similar unit in Brazil

Invista has announced the start-up of a specialty Lycra production line at its Shanghai manufacturing complex. The facility is designed to produce the company’s T837 Lycra HyFit, which will serve the growing global demand for hygiene products. In addition, Invista is planning two projects at its Paulina, Brazil, facility to add capacity and introduce regional production of T837 Lycra HyFit fiber by October.   The product simultaneously reduces fiber-to-fiber tack without negatively impacting creep performance, the company says.
