Invista, Solvay settle adiponitrile dispute

Invista and Solvay announced today that they have signed a settlement agreement resolving disputes related to adiponitrile (ADN) intellectual property and technology used in their nylon-6,6 intermediates Butachimie joint venture at Chalampé, France. The agreement confirms Invista’s exclusive ownership of the ADN technology and paves the way for a technology upgrade at Butachimie that would be one of several components in a new joint-venture relationship between the two companies, Invista says.
