Ineos to Buy BASF's Seal Sands, U.K. Site

Ineos says it has agreed to buy BASF’s Seal Sands, U.K. site. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. BASF produces acrylonitrile (AN), adipodinitrile (ADN) and hexamethylenediamine (HMD), along with by-product plants at Seal Sands. The deal excludes BASF’s HMD and ADN plants, BASF says. BASF will continue to own the HMD plant, but Ineos will operate the unit for BASF.
