Ineos Presses Ahead with Plans for Energy-from-Waste Plant in U.K.

Ineos ChlorVinyls, a division of Ineos, says it has secured the necessary funding and regulatory permissions to begin the construction of a combined heat and power (CHP) energy-from-waste plant at Runcorn, U.K. Under the proposals solid recovered fuel (SRF) generated from municipal waste that cannot be recycled would be supplied to the energy-from-waste plant at Runcorn, which would generate heat and power for Ineos’s chemical manufacturing facilities also at Runcorn.
