World News and Views :: Top of the News Ineos Nova Declares Force Majeure on Polystyrene Due to Strike4:28 AM MDT | May 5, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Ineos Nova International today called force majeure on deliveries of all its general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) grades and its expandable polystyrene (EPS) packaging grades from its plant at Wingles, France due to a strike of some barge owners, bringing deliveries of styrene to a complete halt. The strike started last week, the company says. The Wingles GPPS plant has capacity for 170,000 m.t./year and the EPS unit can produce 90,000 m.t./year.
