World News and Views :: Top of the News Ineos ChlorVinyls to Upgrade U.K. Chloromethane Facilities (update)3:25 AM MST | November 26, 2009 | Alex Scott Ineos Chlorvinyls says it will invest tens of millions of dollars to updgrade its chloromethane manufacturing facilities at Runcorn, U.K. during the next five years. The company will spend the money on replacing “an ageing asset and upgrading some ancillary plant,” at the Runcorn site, the company says. Work has already started on part of the refurbishment, although the main work on the plant, which will last for about 18 months, will be undertaken in 2010 and early 2011.
