Ineos Buys BP's U.K. Ethyl Acetate and VAM Business

Ineos says it has agreed to buy BP's ethyl acetate and vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) business in the U.K. for an undisclosed sum. BP put the business up for sale last year. The deal comprises 250,000 m.t./year each ethyl acetate and VAM plants based at Hull, U.K., as well as an ethylene pipeline connecting the Hull complex with the Teesside, U.K. olefins complex.
