Indorama May Acquire Eastman’s European PTA and PET Assets

Indorama says its has attained exclusivity to acquire Eastman Chemical's European purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) assets. The boards of directors at Indorama Holdings, Thailand (IHT) and Indorama Polymers, Thailand (IPT) have given their approval. Pending the signing of an agreement, the acquisition  will include a total of 340,000 tons/year of PTA capacity and 350,000 tons/year of PET capacity at an integrated site at Rotterdam, Holland and a PET manufacturing site at Workingon, UK. “Indorama is confident that...
