India’s UPL increases stake in Brazil agchem company

Agricultural chemical company UPL (Mumbai), which was known as United Phosphorus until last October, says it has increased its stake in UPL do Brasil Industria E Comercio de Insumos Agropecuarios (Campinas, Brazil), from 51% to 73%. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. UPL do Brasil is involved in the production, marketing, and distribution of crop protection products in the Brazilian market. The company has a formulation plant in Brazil, and an expansion is currently underway at the site to build capabilities in additional crop protection...
