IndianOil to Build India's First SBR Plant

IndianOil aims to sign a heads of agreement with two international partners by end of August to build India’s first styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant, company sources tell CW. The 120,000 m.t./year SBR unit will be constructed at IndianOil’s Panipat site where the company is building a petchems complex based on an 860,000-m.t./year Lummus-process ethylene plant, due for completion by end 2009.
