Indian Biotech Firm Buys into German Pharma Distributor

Biotechnology company Biocon Ltd. (Bangalore, India) says it has reached an agreement to acquire a 70% stake in pharmaceuticals firm AxiCorp (Friedrichsdorf, Germany) for €30 million. Biocon says the acquisition will help it to market a range of pharmaceutical products--including generics, biosimilars, biologics, and innovative pharmaceutical products--in Germany and the rest of Europe.
