IHS WPC 2012: Basic Chemical Demand to Hit 1 Billion m.t./year in 2020

Global petrochemical and plastics demand will expand about 4.4%/year through 2020, Gary Adams, chief advisor for IHS Chemical, told attendees at IHS Chemical’s World Petrochemical Conference being held this week in Houston. Petrochemical earnings should reach a global peak in 2015-2017, he adds.
