IFC to Provide $20 Million to Russian Chemical Firm for Cleaner Production Projects

International Finance Corporation (IFC; Washington), a member of the World Bank group, says it has agreed to provide KuibyshevAzot (Togliatti, Russia), a chemicals manufacturer, with a $20 million loan to help it finance new energy efficiency and cleaner production projects. KuibyshevAzot is the leading manufacturer of caprolactam in Russia and one of the top five Russian producers of nitrogenous fertilizers, IFC says.
