Hydrogen refueling initiative expanded in Germany

Partners in the H2 Mobility initiative in Germany—including Air Liquide, Daimler (Stuttgart, Germany), Linde, OMV (Vienna), Shell, and Total—have announced an expansion in the plan to increase its hydrogen (H2) refueling stations from 15 to 400 by 2023. The hydrogen network for fuel cell–powered electric vehicles was started in 2009, with initial start-up of the first phase expected to be complete by 2015. Over the next four years, 100 hydrogen stations are to be deployed in Germany as a first step in the expanded initiative, the companies say...
