Huntsman’s Earnings Slide on Recent Divestitures

Huntsman reported fourth-quarter net income of $2.2 million, up compared to net income of $80.2 million in the year-ago period. The most recent quarter includes a $147.4 million pretax loss on the sales of its U.S. base chemicals and polymers businesses. Huntsman reported net income of $80.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2006. Adjusted net income from continuing operations was $47.7 million, about flat compared to the year-ago period.
