House Democrats Press Salazar on Fracking Disclosure Requirements

U.S. Democrats are stepping up the debate over potential chemical disclosure requirements for companies involved in hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, on public lands. House Democrats recently asked the Obama administration to advance requirements for public disclosure of chemicals used in the process. The Democrats' action follows a letter to administration officials from House Republicans seeking answers and supporting documents related to a long list of policy questions concerning fracking.
